Ekoplekz Volume 2
My second cd-r collection is now available to buy at the Ekoshop.
As before, this is a 20-track collection, packed with nearly an hour’s worth of home recordings made between March and June this year.
Thanks once again to my friend 2nd Fade for helping out with the packaging. As you can see from the above picture, there is some variety in the colour scheme of the card bands that wrap-around the sleeve.
Some audio samples to tempt you…
Ballet Intransigent by Ekoplekz
Hope you enjoy it…

this is classic! but while listening to it last night i badly burned my foot in a totally avoidable kitchen accident. then i dropped the lovely CD-R sleeve into a hastily prepared iced footbath. both have now recovered!

Prince Asbo writes:
Ekoplekz second volume arrives much as the first, unheralded and warmly received. Volume 2 is a more coherent, less harsh sound palette than its predesessor, but make no mistake, the shit could still clear a party before the remaining coke-bore drains his Seagrams 7 and 7.
Like Volume 1, Ekoplekz’ minimal, squib riddims build up mathematically, yet organically, and disappear–sometimes abruptly. Imagine channel surfing where every station broadcasts a different version of the snowstorm/bug races televisual interference and you get an idea of what Eko has achieved here: it is at once mesmerising and hypnotic.
For better and worse, Eko makes music with an auteur’s indulgence; really, he should be the Eno in some modern day Roxy. Ultimately, this is music, not for listening to, but for losing yourself in.

Farking beautiful Nick! Just got my copy in the mail a few days back. I have only skimmed the surface of Vol. 2 but I can def say you have reached a new sonic realm. Repeated listens reveal new secrets in the Ekoplekz abyss.
