Ekoplekz Volume 1 (2nd Edition)

The ‘second edition’ of my first cd-r collection is now finally available to buy.

As with the first edition, all packaging is hand-assembled/painted/stencilled. The outer card sleeves were individually rendered by my good friend and visual collaborator 2nd Fade, so each copy will be unique. The above picture shows the general contents, including inserts, but there will also be variations in paper and ink colours.

There are some differences from the original edition. Visually, the card sleeves now have a ‘ribbed’ texture, the stencilled lettering has been altered and the paint splatters are in gold, rather than silver.  The inserts have been redesigned.

Regarding the actual music, the tracklist has been slightly truncated and re-ordered to achieve a more structured, concise album length. I think this has definitely improved the overall listening experience  (even I found the original collection too exhausting to listen to all the way through). However, should anyone think they’re being short-changed, I should point out that each copy sold includes the url to a secret link where you can download a 320 zip file containing all the exorcised tracks, plus a handful of other early demos that never even made the first edition – that’s over 30 minutes of extra music.
